Adventure tour to winter Altai. There are no standard solutions or well-trodden paths in our tour. Everything about it will be unusual - winter quad-drive (and swimming for the most desperate) in ice-free lakes. Husky tour and snowmobile ride on the Seminsky Pass, the same place where “Dyatlov Pass” was filmed. Visit to the camp of Altai nomads and shamanic rituals in places of power. Jeeping to an icy lake in the mountains on the border with Mongolia. A trip through the Sailyugem National Park on the border with Mongolia in search of rare Red Book animals - argali. And of course, stunning winter landscapes of the most beautiful mountain road in Altai - the Chuya Tract.

TOUR PROGRAM

Day 1. Welcome to Altai

• Accommodation – recreation center “Dynamo” Seminsky Pass. Comfortable, warm cottages in a cedar forest.
• Arrival in Gorno-Altaisk. A trip along the most beautiful river of Altai - Katun. Winter landscapes will mesmerize you, especially in those places where the river is not covered with ice.
• Stop in the village of Askat and tour on snow and swamp-going vehicles "Falcon" to the non-freezing Blue Lakes of Katun. The bravest guests will be able to plunge into the icy water of these lakes. Lunch at a rustic homestead in the village of Askat craftsmen.
• Transfer to the recreation center "Dynamo" at Seminsky Pass.

Day 2. Husky tour and snowmobile at Seminsky Pass

• Accommodation – recreation center “Dynamo” Seminsky Pass. Comfortable, warm cottages in a cedar forest
• We invite you to the kingdom of snowdrifts, centuries-old cedars and mysterious legends - to the Seminsky Pass. Undoubtedly, many of you have already seen film footage of this place, because it was on the Seminsky Pass that the famous series “Dyatlov Pass” was filmed.
• We will conquer the open spaces in the most exotic and fun way - in a team of Siberian huskies. The dogs will be accompanied by a snowmobile with a “banana” (a special seat for passengers), from which we will take turns transferring to the dog sled at stops.
• Riding will give you a lot of pleasure from communicating with good-natured and loyal dogs, from overcoming snow slides, from “swimming” in snowdrifts (and on the Seminsky Pass they can reach several meters), from contemplating winter landscapes. If we are lucky, then in clear weather from the ski route we will be able to see from afar the queen of Altai - Mount Belukha, the highest in Siberia.
• In the evening at the recreation center you can order a Russian bath (for an additional fee).

Day 3. Karakol Valley

• Accommodation – recreation center “Dynamo” Seminsky Pass. Comfortable, warm cottages in a cedar forest
• Today we are heading to the sacred Karakol Valley, the Uch-Enmek ethno-natural park. There are only three villages in the valley, but all of them are imbued with the nomadic spirit and Altai flavor. Since ancient times, people have lived here and left ritual monuments, burial mounds, and steles in places of power. Until now, scientists are at a loss as to why such structures were created.
• During the trip, we will focus on meeting and communicating with people - ordinary residents of Altai villages, who will welcome us to their land, talk about customs and traditions (both ancient ones that have reached us through millennia, and modern ones), invite us to visit and treat you to a delicious lunch. During the trip you will visit the heart of Altai and join the world of modern nomads.

Day 4. Silk Road of Altai / Transfer to Kosh-Agach along the Chuisky tract

• Accommodation – hotel in Sailyugem National Park and hotel “Rasul” in the village of Kosh-Agach
• The Chuysky tract is one of the most picturesque and fascinating mountain roads in Russia. It is like a necklace on which unique natural landscapes, cultural and historical monuments are strung. The pictures outside the window will change throughout the trip and surprise you with their beauty and variety, so even a long trip will not seem boring and tiring.
• We will stop at the top of the Chike-Taman pass. You will not remain indifferent to the contemplation of the grandiose ice-free Ilgumen rapids on the Katun River, which becomes even more expressive and powerful in winter. For lunch we will invite you to an Altai house, where you will taste local cuisine and homemade pickles. We will visit the petroglyphs of the Kalbak-Tash sanctuary and Geyser Lake. We will arrive at the hotel late in the evening with a huge baggage of impressions and photographs.

Day 5. In search of argali / jeep tour to Sailyugem National Park

• Accommodation – hotel in Sailyugem National Park and hotel “Rasul” in the village of Kosh-Agach
• The day is dedicated to a trip to the border with Mongolia, to the territory of the Sailyugem National Park. In winter, the world's largest population of Argali mountain sheep, listed in the Red Book, lives here. Together with the rangers of Sailyugem Park we will visit the main points where there is an opportunity to meet these amazing animals. Along the way, we will check the camera trap installed on the snow leopard. After all, this is where the largest population of snow leopards in Russia lives.
• Return to the hotel late in the evening.

IMPORTANT! Salugem National Park is located near the border with Mongolia. For citizens of the Russian Federation, special permission is required, otherwise we will not be able to travel close to the border.

The border pass is issued for Russians - 15 working days, for foreign citizens - 30 working days.

Day 6. Akkol - an icy lake in the mountains

• Accommodation – hotel in Sailyugem National Park and hotel “Rasul” in the village of Kosh-Agach
• Today we will go by jeep to the mountains of the South Chuya Range, to the mysterious Lake Akkol. In winter, the rivers and lake freeze almost completely to the bottom, creating a unique kingdom of ice. We will skate on the surface of mountain rivers and lakes, and also have lunch among turquoise ice floes. If we are lucky, we will see herds of domestic yaks grazing in these places.

Day 7. Return road to Gorno-Altaisk

• Accommodation – hotel near the airport (GLC Manzherok)
• Today we are returning to the outskirts of Gorno-Altaisk, the starting point of our journey. The journey will take about 8 hours.

Day 8. Farewell to Altai

• Transfer to the airport and flight to Moscow. See you again!
